We look back at Daryl Chang’s journey to the H&M head office in Stockholm. And no, she doesn’t just take photos of clothes. You’ll be surprised how our Fashion Director is obsessed with food too.

"We had Toast Skagen, a typical Swedish starter made of prawns, mayonnaise, mustard, dill and whitefish roe on top. Creamy, chewy—and with the toast—crunchy."

Daryl says Stockholm weather is perfect for layering. Sunny, but not humid.

"Inspired by Ann-Sofie Johansson’s (H&M head of Design: New Development) view, take, and execution of fashion. You absolutely have to know why. Read the story in this month’s issue!”

We deconstruct Nicolas Ghesquiere’s debut collection for Louis Vuitton.

There was a lot of buzz surrounding the appointment of Nicolas Ghesquière as the new artistic director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton. The 40-something who launched a thousand trends over the last decade had been absent from the scene for over a year, and his return naturally generated a lot of excitement.

How would Nicolas’ vision fit in with the classic brand? Would he pick up from where Marc Jacobs left off, or would he veer off to his own path?

Liya Kabede poses in Nicolas’ intricate new silhouette for Louis Vuitton

In a typewritten letter left on each seat at his first show for the brand he answers these questions. He wrote that he felt “immense joy at being here, in the knowledge that my stylistic expression is at one with the Louis Vuitton philosophy. The proud legacy. The inspiring history that looks to the future and to the world. The quest for authenticity and innovation. The desire for timelessness.”

One of the things you need to know about our Deputy Art Director, Eugene David, (other than the fact that he’s currently into Ariana Grande and has a knack for tropical printed caps) is that he loves fashion illustration. So on his birthday, we ask him his top 3 faves he’d like to share with everyone as today’s dose of inspiration. Happy Birthday, Eug!
